Is your scarcity mindset screwing you?
How limiting beliefs sabotage your success and well-being
Spring is my favourite time of the year. The days are getting longer, the sun turns up occasionally and the temperature is getting warmer. But most of all, it’s nine months until the next winter.
But despite the weather, we're all doomed, aren't we? Constantly self-sabotaging ourselves with our scarcity mindset.
When was the last time you prioritise our psychological health? Here’s a TED talk that really resonated with me:
Guy Winch: Why we all need to practice emotional first aid
Self-talk is powerful… it could be dangerous or uplifting, depending on how we use it.
Negative self-talk often contributes to anxiety, depression, and a negative self-image. It can create a cycle of self-doubt and decreased motivation.
Positive self-talk can enhance self-esteem, reduce stress, and improve overall mood. It fosters resilience and a proactive approach to challenges.
By cultivating positive self-talk and challenging negative patterns using the technique Guy Winch describes in his talk, we can enhance our well-being and approach life with greater confidence and optimism.
With gratitude,
Arunjay.
P.s. we are all hardwired to stay in scarcity mindset—it’s built for our survival.
